Getting started
How do I create an account?
Click the sign-up button on the homepage and enter your email address and a password. After that you fill in your business details in two short steps and choose how you want to be paid.
How do I set up my business details?
You do that right after signing up. You can change them later under Settings: business name, address, KvK (Chamber of Commerce) number, VAT ID (or KOR), IBAN and payment term. These details appear on all your invoices.
I use the KOR. Can I use TikBon?
Yes. In your business details, choose that you use the kleineondernemersregeling (KOR, the small business scheme). Your invoices then contain no VAT and state that you are exempt from VAT.
Invoices
How do I create an invoice?
Click "New invoice". Choose a client or add a new one, and add one or more lines with a description, quantity, price and VAT rate. Totals and VAT are calculated automatically.
Can I edit an invoice after sending it?
No, invoices that have been sent can't be edited. You can create a credit note to correct the original invoice.
How does my client receive the invoice?
If your client has an email address, we email the invoice with a payment link. You can also share the payment link yourself via WhatsApp or let your client scan a QR code. After payment your client automatically receives a payment confirmation with the invoice.
Can I download a PDF?
Yes. Open the invoice and click "Download PDF". Your client can also download the PDF from the payment page.
Payments
Which payment methods are supported?
Through Mollie your client pays by iDEAL, and with any other methods you switch on in your own Mollie account (such as Bancontact or credit card). Your client can also pay by bank transfer.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your own Mollie account, which you connect during setup. Mollie pays out to your bank account. TikBon never touches your money.
How long does a payment take?
iDEAL payments are processed almost instantly. Credit card payments can take 1-2 working days to reach your Mollie account.
Subscriptions
What's included in the free plan?
With the free plan you create up to 5 invoices a month, with every feature except recurring invoices and your own logo. For each successful iDEAL payment you pay €0.25 to TikBon. Need more? With Starter (€7.44 a month excl. VAT, or €90 a year incl. VAT) you create unlimited invoices and pay TikBon nothing per payment.
How do I upgrade to Starter?
Go to Dashboard → Settings → Subscription. Choose Starter and follow the payment steps. You get unlimited invoices straight away.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel at any time under Settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
